Friday, September 17th: No School – Staff Learning Day
Teachers will be working at school but you have a three-day weekend!
Monday, September 20th: Sharing Begins – Bring something red
I will not be sending home evaluation sheets until October. For the next two weeks, just practice with your child and help them to get used to sharing in front of the class! Remember to prepare at least 4 complete sentences about something that is red, and bring the actual object or a large colorful picture to show the class. For more information about sharing, look in your back-to-school packet or on the website under: Curriculum – Sharing.
Friday, September 24th: Bring an apple to school day!
For our Friday centers, we will be doing a project to learn the life cycle of apples! Please choose any kind of apple to bring to school in the morning!
Tuesday, September 28th, Thursday, September 30th, Friday, October 1st: Individual Parent Conferences with Mrs. Yu in the Office
In today’s daily folder, you will see a conference appointment paper. You have been assigned a 20 minute time slot during the school day to talk about your child’s progress. Please make sure you arrive on time because we have back-to-back conferences and we cannot go over the time allotted to you. You can wait in the office lobby until I get you at your appointment time. Also, I will have a substitute in my classroom on these three days. Please speak to your child about remembering to follow the rules and listen to the substitute teacher’s directions.
