Conferences

Dear Parents,

Thank you everyone for coming to your 20 minute conference this week. It was nice to be able to speak with each of you individually about your child's progress. Remember that my most important goal for everyone is to be happy and enjoy school. Once that is established, then the next most important goal for our children is speaking and listening. I mentioned "retelling" a story to every family during conferences because it is one of the skills that all students must have in order to advance into mainstream classes. You can make it fun by taking turns retelling or having children get used to being a storyteller themselves! Please take time to read daily with your child and practice retelling. Learning should be fun!

Everyone has been working very hard and improving in all areas! Keep up the great work!
