Hello families!
Happy February! So far, the weather has been warming up and that is very very nice. The first grade teachers went to the California First Grade Teachers Conference in Napa, California this past weekend. Besides driving there at 5am in the morning, the rest of the conference was wonderful! We attended four different seminars including using music to teach concepts, writer's workshop, mini-lessons, and centers ideas. All of the speakers were fantastic. I think all of us first grade teachers brought home many new ideas to use in our own classrooms!
This month will go by fast because of many special days and holidays! There's Groundhog's Day, the 100th Day of School, Valentine's Day, President's Day, and we also have our Winter Recess from February 19-23rd. Keep up the great work!
